Cake & Food Tastings are an opportunity to briefly "meet 'n' greet" and sample cakes, fillings and buttercreams; very similar to a bridal showcase.

 Tastings are primarily offered to engaged couples alongside their coordinators, free of charge and by appointment only. But planners and guests-of-honor are welcome to attend for other celebratory events.

To book our services for events servicing 75 guests or more, a Private Tasting should be made; the coordinator is encouraged to schedule this appointment.     

In addition to the wide variety of cake selections at the complimentary tasting, Private Tastings allow you to enjoy up to 6 cake selections of your choice for $15 per cake. Click here to schedule.

  Tastings allow engaged couples, or guests-of-honor, to get a very good idea of hat cake texture, moistness and overall flavor. Not all palates are the same, so your wedding cake can be taylored to your palate

If you are unable to attend, ask your coordinator, mother-in-law or bridesmaid to stop by and pick up the samples on your behalf.

             Cake Info

All of my wedding cakes are lovingly made from scratch. My wedding cakes are iced with Italian Meringue Buttercream as a final coat though the interior may be a decadent deep Chocolate Raspberry topped with creamy chocolate ganache or tangy sweet Lemonicious cake filled with lemon curd (filling).

My cake flavors have been created with the most delectable pairing of fillings and buttercreams to compliment each cake. I am happy to accommodate special requests from the engaged couple for alternate cake flavor combinations. Cake info here.

                 Pricing

Cakes are priced per slice according to choice of cake, buttercream, filling, and cake design. Cake flavors here.

Handmade Sugar Flowers are an additional $35 per tier. Handmade Sugar Bow cake toppers are $25.

If your florist will be providing a fresh floral cake topper, please advise.

If you would like us to cut and serve your cake, a $40 fee applies.

Fondant covering is an additional $1 per person. However, if fondant doesn't tickle your fancy but you want to achieve that seamless finish, you can choose to cover the wedding cake in a Chocolate Wrap for an additional $1.25 per person.

         Delivery & Set-Up

Delivery and set up charges range between $40-$60 within the DC Metro area. Delivery and set up outside the DC Metro area range between $65-$75. Delivery charge includes professional cake set-up and light cake table decor.

         Wedding Cake Table

To enhance the beauty of your cake, the cake table will be lightly decorated with your wedding theme free of charge. Examples: butterlies, hearts, candles, etc. Fresh flowers can be used if prior arrangements are made with your florist. A complimentary anniversary cake will be given to the couple for their enjoyment on their 1st year anniversary. It can be displayed alongside the wedding cake.

  Stacked or Separated Tiered Cakes

Cakes can be placed one on top of the other called Stacked Cakes or separated by columns called Separated Cakes. For each tier separation for Separated Cakes, a $10 charge applies for acrylic plates and pillars.
